Wonderful L.A. architecture -- the Stahl house

Are you interested in Los Angeles residential architecture? I was privileged enough yesterday to tour the iconic Stahl house.  You've likely seen tons of pics of this place, including the famous picture above.  It was built by Pierre Koenig in 1960 in the Hollywood Hills and featured a completely modern design of steel and glass.  It opens to a panoramic view of Los Angeles as well.  If you are interested in taking a Los Angeles architecture tour, you may want to sign up for Meetup's L.A. Frequent readers of these posts will know that I have often made fun of colored bathroom fixtures.  But my dirty little secret is that I grew up with this MCM decorating (I am midcentury, too) and have a deep and abiding love for it.  And I'm thrilled to have just disovered Pam Kueber's SavethePinkBathrooms.com site.  Full of pink bathroom tips, places to buy midcentury building and decorating materials, and similar info, SPB is a wonderful companion site to Pam's main site, Retrorenovation.com.  (I'm sure you retro-renovators have already caught on to this site, but I just love discovering this stuff.) Midcentury modern design comes to pet furniture

Now, you can have a really cool midcentury modern home AND a pet! Never worry about the dog's bed clashing with your cool 1963 furniture again! This pet bed is designed by a company called Hepper and is available on Fab.com for $86 (gulp).  The inside bed part is 1960's orange.  Perhaps the company can be persuaded to make an exterior shell in 1960's turquoise?
