Judy Graff's sublime-to-the-ridiculous (well, mostly ridiculous) take on real estate for east San Fernando Valley and North Los Angeles communities. This includes Hollywood Hills, Burbank, Studio City and Toluca Lake real estate and homes for sale, and also covers Valley Village, North Hollywood, Glendale, Atwater, Highland Park, Silverlake, Sherman Oaks and other L.A. areas too. General news and musings as well.

You know this already - prices are up
By the time you read this post, you will probably already have read this story from today's LAT about home prices rising in the first part of the year. If you've been out looking, that won't surprise you. What surprises me here is how some of the industry statistician-experts refuse to say die (or is that "live") re the r.e. market's downturn. Sure, there could be another downturn. But from what I see in the markets I serve, there's nothing indicating that will happen anytime soon.

All I can say is, IT WAS TRULY HIGH! And I don’t think I can own a house ever again! Well, recession is truly cause financial crisis and market fall. What we really need now is more jobs so that even small houses can afford to buy by average families. In relation to this, you know, maybe the Chinese are out to kill us. They haven't discouraged North Korea by any means, and then there's this Chinese drywall thing – with harmful drywall having been imported from China. To the record, do not purchase Knauf Plasterboard or drywall, that's one of the affected lines. Granted, it probably was an error someplace that wasn't malicious, but still – preferably nobody had to get loans to pay hospital bills because of the stuff. I heard a lot of this stuff was bought for rebuilding properties in New Orleans.
